The main purpose of the Corporate Safety Specialist Team Leader is to oversee a team of Corporate Safety Specialists to ensure we are upholding compliance with DOT policies, company policies, practices and procedures with the goal of providing superior and efficient customer service. This position will answer telephones and trouble shoot various transportation related problems and safety concerns. This will require entries into the iSeries computer system and the use of Microsoft products. Shifts during business hours will answer phone calls on hazardous materials, address motoring public concerns, compiling incident and illness reports, entering citations, setting up post-accident drug & alcohol screening, auditing hours of service records, supporting drivers when questions arise, and providing counseling to the drivers on safety related concerns.
Off hour shifts will complete all duties that the day shift personal preform as well as answer phone calls relating to accidents claims, cargo claims, workers’ compensation claims, hire independent adjusters, family emergencies, and any harassment issues that arise between drivers. This is a safety sensitive position.
