Huntsman is currently recruiting a Corporate Paralegal with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to join our Global Corporate Legal Team. The paralegal will be based at our global headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas and will primarily work with our senior corporate attorney based in Everberg, Belgium, as well as other corporate attorneys and paralegals in The Woodlands, Texas and other locations outside the U.S. The successful candidate will be a team player who is detail-oriented with a desire to learn and grow, while able to prioritize and structure competing priorities in a fast-paced and challenging environment.  

In summary, as the Corporate Paralegal, you will:   

  • Provide corporate paralegal and administrative support for corporate transactions, including internal restructurings, M&A transactions and corporate finance transactions;
  • Assist with the corporate governance and management of Huntsman legal entities located in the Americas;
  • Maintain, update and organize Huntsman’s legal entity database and other corporate databases;
  • Work with local outside counsel in various jurisdictions to prepare minutes, resolutions, powers of attorney and other corporate governance documentation;
  • Work with service providers to obtain corporate documents (e.g., good standing certificates, translations, and legalizations);
  • Work with internal lawyers and other corporate functions (e.g., tax and treasury) to provide corporate information and general corporate assistance;
  • Provide administrative support and assistance with other projects.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
 
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a corporate paralegal with a major law firm or in-house legal department of a multinational company;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to be flexible and work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment;
  • A team player who has strong interpersonal skills and a curiosity to learn;
  • A mature and professional individual with the ability to communicate with senior executives and attorneys and handle sensitive and confidential information;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferable;
  • Experience with entity management databases is a plus.
