About the Role 

iCapital is looking to hire a Corporate Finance Expense Accountant Associate to join the Corporate Finance team. This role will assist mainly in the accounts payable and monthly close processes, as well as assist in ongoing projects, enhancements, and process improvements. 

Responsibilities 

  • Review, verify, and process high volume of invoices within accounts payable system (Coupa) for respective operating expenses assigned in a timely manner. Routing, validating, inputting, coding correctly in Coupa AP System 
  • Facilitate and monitor invoice approvals and AP aging. Provide invoice statuses 
  • Assist in preparing journal entries for balance sheet and income statement transactions (i.e. cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, operating expenses)  
  • Aid in preparing monthly expense files and monthly cash reconciliations 
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed 
  • Prepare and execute payments via checks, electronic transfers, or other methods as needed 

Qualifications 

  • Degree in accounting is required 
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience 
  • CPA license (achieved or actively pursuing) is preferred  
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role 
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment 
  • Knowledge of booking journal entries 
  • Willingness to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment 
  • Demonstrates ability and willingness to take on new, challenging assignments on an ad-hoc basis 
  • Organized and detail oriented with big picture capability 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel 
  • Experience with Coupa and/or AP processing systems is preferred 
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite and/or General Ledger systems is preferred 
  • Able to manage large sets of data and implement checks and balances 

Benefits 

The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $115,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
