This role provides an exciting opportunity to oversee some of our most strategic relationships with large technology partners.
As an Executive Director on the Consumer & Community Bank Corporate Development Digital Partnerships team, you will oversee a team responsible for digital payments and lending partnerships, with a particular focus on payments and lending. Your role will encompass strategic analysis, independent negotiation of commercial deals, as well as leading through influence across a large, multifaceted organization. You will face off with senior stakeholders externally and internally, including JP Morgan Chase's most senior executive leaders, to evaluate how the financial ecosystem is changing, assess the implications to the firm, and determine what partnerships will deliver value for JP Morgan Chase's customers.
The Corporate Development team at JP Morgan Chase is broadly responsible for strategic partnerships across the firm's consumer lines of business - including the Consumer Bank, Business Bank, Wealth Management, Card Services, Connected Commerce, Home Lending, and Auto Lending. These partnerships are critical to the firm's ability to execute on its core strategies and meet the needs of our customers in a rapidly changing financial services ecosystem. The Digital Partnerships team specifically has three primary functions, including determining the partnership strategies for large tech platforms and fintechs, evaluating, negotiating and executing payments and lending partnerships, as well as managing ongoing relationships with large technology platforms externally and firm wide.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage a high-performance team within Digital Partnerships
- Lead the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of strategic payments and lending partnerships with large technology companies
- Serve as lead relationship manager with key large tech partners externally, as well as firm wide
- Ideate and develop consumer payments and lending partnership strategies for Chase's largest tech platform partners
- Work with finance, legal and other functional partners to develop business cases, deal constructs and other key terms associated with partnerships
- Monitor external environment for important competitive developments and potential partnership opportunities and share perspectives with key line of business partners
- Ensure all deals are executed in accordance with policies, controls and Corporate Development procedures
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 6+ years of financial services experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Extensive experience leading teams, with an innate interest in mentorship and helping others develop their career
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for financial services
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
- A track record of successfully executed partnerships and/or strategic alliance development
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills and ability to achieve results within demanding timelines
- Ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the company
- Adept at leading through influence
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Management consulting, investment banking, or Private Equity / Venture Capital experience
- Experience in digital, banking, and/or payments
- Experience servicing as a relationship manager

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. We're proud to lead the U.S. in credit card sales and deposit growth and have the most-used digital solutions - all while ranking first in customer satisfaction.
The Strategy team manages mission-critical projects ranging from developing growth strategies, to assessing and planning entry into new markets, to implementing organizational restructurings and operational efficiencies, and more. Projects are typically team-based and include close collaboration with senior executives.
