Germania Insurance is seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Counsel to join our team. You will be part of a culture that values solutions and strategic direction in a fast-paced setting.
The Corporate Counsel position will provide legal advice and counsel to management on a wide variety of basic to complex legal, regulatory, and business matters regarding the operations of the Company to ensure a solid legal foundation.
Specifically, Corporate Counsel is the legal expert providing support related to insurance, regulatory concerns, compliance, corporate governance, reinsurance, employment matters, agent/agency matters, intellectual property, and support for corporate and administrative functions (e.g., corporate finance/accounting, business technology, human resources, service contracts, real estate, contract administration and performance).
Requirements include:
- Juris Doctor degree and Texas licensed attorney who is a member in good standing.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience as in-house counsel or in a large firm with a professional background in insurance.
- Strong knowledge in Texas insurance services regulations, with a working knowledge of corporate, data and consumer protection laws, Texas corporate law, M&A, and corporate governance/compliance matters.
