Iodine Software is seeking a candidate who is passionate about healthcare and technology and possesses stellar communication, commercial judgment, project management, and interpersonal skills. What you'll do:
As the Corporate/Commercial Counsel you will be primarily responsible for supporting our Sales and Customer Success teams with contracting major healthcare systems, manage corporate legal projects, and be able to solve a wide variety of legal challenges associated with a heavily regulated but growing and dynamic company. In this role, you will collaborate with various levels of leadership, cross-functional teams on a diverse range of issues encompassing SaaS licensing, technology agreements, intellectual property matters, HIPAA, data privacy/security regulations, as well as compliance and regulatory policies.
Specifically, this role will:
- Collaborate with leadership, sales, product, and other cross functional teams on various legal matters including:
- Healthcare technology licensing agreements
- Vendor agreements - Intellectual property issues
- HIPAA and data privacy regulations - Compliance and regulatory policies
What we'd love to see:

• License to practice before a State Bar.
• 5+ years of experience as a technology/healthcare attorney; nice to have experience in healthtech start-ups.
• Skills in SaaS and other contract negotiations and have the ability to assess and mitigate legal risk.
• Nice to have experience in healthcare, compliance, data privacy, AI, and security.
• Energy and drive to support building an in-house legal function at a growth organization.
• Growth and learning oriented mindset; ability to quickly learn and tackle a wide variety of novel challenges, including the ability to solve problems hands
