The Copywriter is responsible for writing, proofing, and editing marketing and corporate copy from conception to completion for print material and other media, including websites, social media platforms, brochures, flyers, press releases, mailers, newsletters, scripts, presentations, etc. Copywriters also participate in formulating new concepts and ideas for marketing campaigns.
Your Impact:
- Research and write copy for print and other media, including promotional mailers (emails, letters, brochures, buck slips, and envelope callouts), events, websites, social media, internal communications, advertisements, press releases, scripts, flyers, newsletters, surveys, and presentations; route completed copy for updates, changes, and approval.
- Proof and edit all marketing material before distribution and perform a Quality Control (QC) check for other copywriters’ projects; correct grammatical errors, misspellings, and/or design flaws; maintain corporate branding and voice throughout all communications.
- Creatively collaborate with coworkers (management, copywriters, designers, digital team members, etc.) to conceptualize and develop marketing campaigns.
- Effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions from groups including department heads, managers, customers, and/or coworkers.
- Attend daily and monthly copy team check-in meetings to discuss the status of current and upcoming projects, as well as continuing education on copy-related topics.
- Consistently track project activity, progress, and time using a project management system and meet productivity requirements of project workloads as established by the Creative Director.
- Create a professional development plan that includes assigned goals with the support and guidance
of management.
Successful Candidates Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience writing copy in a business setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous direct mail copywriting experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interface effectively at all levels within an organization.
At One80 Intermediaries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, and 10 days of paid time off and 11 paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected annual pay range for this position is $44,400 to $55,000 plus discretionary bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
