A Brief Overview
The Events Coordinator will coordinate a diverse set of events, activities, meetings and programs to support the goals of Development department. The Coordinator will also be responsible for managing initiatives of a certain scope, which could include fundraising initiatives or recurring, non-fundraising events.
What you will do

  • Maintain a peer-to-peer signature event portfolio with a fundraising minimum exceeding $200k annually
  • Partner with clinical teams to build a culture in the center, recruit and retain grateful patient families and execute a successful event.
  • Execute operations and logistics from start to finish for the event
  • Steward fundraisers pre and post event
  • Coordinate promotion and a portfolio of marketing materials in partnership with the PR/Marketing team
  • Recruit, cultivate and lead a volunteer committee
  • Maintains project management in Workfront and donor/volunteer data in Salesforce Mange as well as the event budget
  • Manage a supporting role/role with other signature P2P events
  • Manage specific aspects of events (i.e., volunteers, food and beverage, entertainment, operations, etc.)
  • Maintain/update donor/constituent records in Donorforce (Salesforce), track actions and events
  • Partner with both internal partners, across the institution, and external partners to lead successful fundraising events
  • Participate in special Hospital projects and lend support as needed and assigned
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner that fosters teamwork with colleagues.
  • Maintain relationships with existing donors and develop relationships with potential donors.
  • Represent the Hospital to donors, community fundraisers, executive leadership, internal and external stakeholders

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Experience Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year professional experience Required
  • At least (2) years Experience in Development, Special Events, Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications, with events/meeting planning Preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to operate a company vehicle and/ or be insured through a company policy.
  • Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of Salesforce or other constituent management system helpful.
  • Ability to organize and present data accurately and concisely.
  • A sincere appreciation for people and how they are each uniquely motivated.
  • Poised and engaging, empathetic communications style based on natural warmth and enthusiasm.
  • Fast-paced and results oriented with the ability to work in a timely manner with multiple deadlines and competing requirements.
  • Strong written, presentation, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to relate well to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstration of good judgement, professionalism and the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Travel, local and regional, required.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Driver's License - Department of Motor Vehicles - upon hire - Required
