The Conventions and Events Coordinator will play a crucial role in organizing and executing trade shows, conferences, and promotional events that align with our marketing objectives. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, vendor management, and event coordination, ensuring a seamless and successful experience for our team and attendees.
Your Impact:
- Coordinate all logistics for conventions and events, including venue selection, setup, and teardown.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with event venues, ensuring all requirements are met and contracts are negotiated effectively.
- Work with set-up crews to ensure all booth layouts and equipment are arranged according to specifications.
- Manage the shipping and receiving of materials, including marketing collateral, promotional items, and booth equipment.
- Order and coordinate giveaways and promotional materials, ensuring timely delivery and availability at events.
- Develop and maintain event timelines and budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging and effective event content and messaging.
- Promote events through social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels to maximize attendance and engagement.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.
- Gather feedback and conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in event planning or coordination, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with vendors, clients, and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
At One80 Intermediaries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, and 10 days of paid time off and 11 paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected annual pay range for this position is $51,800 to $75,000 plus discretionary bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
