Job Description
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Establish short-term and long-term forecasts.
- Prepare and review weekly and monthly financial results.
- Manage fixed assets.
- Monitor and assist with productive and non-productive inventories.
- Monitor capital and capital projects.
- Direct/support departments with goals, objectives, development requirements and annual reviews.
- Approve plant expenses and appropriations requests.
- Establish and maintain key operating procedures and all required journal entries and accruals.
- Complete month-end and year-end closings of the financial records
- Maintain and administer all governmental tax credits such as Renewal Community and Enterprise zone and all governmental grants.
- Maintain relationships with outside auditors, vendors, financial institutions, and taxing authorities.
- Develop and recommend operating policy and procedures pertaining to accounting activities and instruct other management of their application and interpretation.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, financial, or business administration.
- High degree of confidentiality.
- High degree of understanding and cooperation with others.
- Accounting experience within the automotive or manufacturing industry, preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
