As a Control Manager Vice President in WM Solutions Control Management team, you will be part of an integrated team dedicated to maintaining a robust and consistent control environment. You will be part of an agile, future focused, and collaborative team working in partnership with the Lending Solutions business to identify and manage risk. You will be exposed to a stimulating and rewarding environment with cross-disciplinary teams to build effective and sustainable solutions. On any day of the week you might provide guidance on a recent JPMC merger, acquisition, or new product development; assess the design of an advanced technology solution, or proactively identify and assess high profile issues of utmost importance to C-suite level committees.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and monitor the risk and control framework
  • Enable strategic initiatives by providing risk and control design expertise and navigational assistance to help connect the dots across the line of business(es)
  • Promote an environment where control issues are escalated and trends are anticipated, identified and remediated
  • Partner with business to design and implement efficient, effective, repeatable processes and controls to mitigate risks
  • Leverage operational risk expertise and judgment thoughtfully to challenge assumptions, ways of working and operating models
  • Establish trusting partnerships and a culture of respectful, honest communication with other Control Managers and business partners as well as intersecting functional teams (e.g. Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology, Internal Audit), while engaging diverse perspectives
  • Drive business readiness and serve as liaison for audit and regulatory exams
  • Identify and assess operational risks related to the Lending Solutions business, ensuring compliance with procedures and consistency with control standards
  • Drive strategic solutions that create a more resilient operating environment.
  • Ensure effectiveness of key controls, review and provide feedback on control testing and draft issue and action plan language in collaboration with Lending Solutions stakeholders
  • Participate in key initiatives through the Change Control Meeting (CCM) and New Business Initiative Assessments (NBIA) processes


Required capabilities, skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum Seven years of relevant experience in the financial services industry or background in Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, or Process Improvement
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to drive results independently
  • Team player and leader who inspires actions across the team and builds credibility across stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change through influence and collaboration across a matrix organization in a highly dynamic environment
  • Experience structuring and driving multiple simultaneous projects to on-time completion
  • Strong executive presence with excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of Banking and Credit Products preferred
