Cortica is looking for a Contract Analyst to join its growing team!
In this role, you will design, develop, interpret, and present analytics to support payer negotiations and drive overarching strategic decisions related to payer relationships and contracting. The Contract Analyst will examine Cortica’s contract position across multiple markets and payers and compare it to both internal and external benchmarks, and will pull claims data from our data warehouse, interpret it, visualize and present findings to leadership, and use results to drive value-based contract negotiations with payers.

What will you do?
- Work with leadership to develop analytic models to respond to proposals and inform strategy for payer contracting, including internal and external benchmark comparisons (Medicare fees, Price Transparency data, etc.).
- Manage Payer Contracting analytics process by serving as an analytic participant in individual payer negotiations (especially value-based contracts) as well as internal overarching discussions about payer contracting.
- Use PowerBI or other analytic programs to analyze data from the Data Warehouse, build models for payer contract negotiations, and create visualizations for leadership.
- Research payer market share, products and contracting processes to provide perspective on the strategy for expansion into new markets.
- Evaluate the profitability of payor contracts; lead development of financial models to project financial impact of value-based contracts and for the market overall.
- Work closely with revenue cycle, finance, and other partner departments to ensure contract terms are understood and executed accurately.
- Develop and deliver concise, easy-to-understand, data-based recommendations to management to assist with strategy development and decision making.
- Perform quality checks on performed analyses and utilize internal benchmarks to verify the results.
- Develop analytics infrastructure including reports and dashboards supporting financial performance of contracts.
We’d love to hear from you if:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, healthcare administration or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- You bring 5+ years of experience with healthcare data analysis; managed care or value-based contracting experience preferred.
- You are proficient with Excel and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI).

The base pay range for this opening is $93,777 to $117,222 annually. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
