As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, implement process improvements, and drive operational excellence. Your understanding of Lean principles, excellent communication skills, and coaching abilities will be essential in this role
Responsibilities:
Process Analysis and Improvement:
- Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste.
- Propose and implement improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain teams to optimize performance.
- Teaching and Coaching:
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement events (e.g., Kaizen workshops) on the production floor.
- Teach and coach cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Project Management:
- Clearly define program objectives, scope, and success criteria.
- Evaluate potential improvements based on gains and effort required.
- Develop and articulate implementation plans, considering constraints and limiting factors.
Change Management:
- Secure employee commitment (including process managers) for proactive change.
- Implement governance principles effectively.
- Resolve technical challenges related to formulation, equipment, and resources.
Metrics and Reporting:
- Develop and measure standard metrics to track progress.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented changes.
- Refine strategies based on outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, data analysis tools).
- Passion for teaching, coaching, and driving continuous improvement.
