Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
As Industrial Continuous Improvement Engineer you will support industrial change management program (ICube Program) across 2 sites of hub CAC Europe: Le Teil and Fos sur Mer. You will demonstrate visible leadership on Safety and People Empowerment/Enablement and will be focused on continuous industrial improvements in terms of People and practices in order to improve productivity, energy efficiency, reliability, quality and cost of operations.
The position is shared between 2 sites:

In Le Teil (100% in the first 6 months) you will apply and follow-up the phase 2 methodology

In Fos (in alternance after 6 months) you will prepare for phase 2 and help the site grow
The champion will go through a training and certification process and is a feeder job for future operational positions
JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS

Scope: 2 sites of Fos and Le Teil

Direct report to: Site director where he will be based

Functional report to: RAC operational excellence manager + other site manager

Team: Member of both sites management teams

Travels: regular (once per week, 1 night) visits to the site he/she is not based on. Punctual travels for benchmark and trainings
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The I-cube champion is a key position of industrial change management deployment and leads the implementation of various best practices.

Deploys and sustains I3 program (phase 1 and phase 2) within the 2 sites he/she is in charge of, by focusing on people (must haves, will, skills) and implementing practices (lean methodologies and I3 program) to reach performance (industrial efficiency and margin improvement)

Cultivates and promotes a strong continuous improvement culture across the sites

Supports analysis of processes and practices to enable safety / efficiency / quality continuous improvement initiative generation, also with the support of BA operational team and in liaison with other champions of the hub.

Train people to enhance their continuous improvement skills

Implement and sustain I3 practices
-
Generates detailed continuous improvement initiatives across the plants of the hub to generate savings with the cooperation of “I3 champions” and plant managers.

Provides technical support, training and expertise to on-site teams for I-Cube deployment and improvement projects

Participates in the network and sharing within the hub and within RAC I3 community
-
Maintains and creates appropriate documentation for reports, project execution, and data analysis

Supports Operation Sites & Supply Chain team members to support continuous improvement deployment

Captures and communicates learning to enable best practice transfer and recognition within his/her hub and the other hubs

Key interfaces: ensures tight coordination with site managers & BA I3 manager.

After 6 months is based geographically in Fos or LT with weekly travels to the other site

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education:

With Master’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Process, Material or Chemical Engineering
Experience:
-
~2 years in Process/Production/ Operations Management / Projects/ Operational excellence programme management on a site level or central support function level
Key competencies

Good Continuous Improvement culture and able to learn very fast methods (project management, Kaizen, 6-sigma, value stream mapping, Fish-Bone diagram, working capital optimization)
