Role: Content Creator

About the role:
OLIVER believes that agencies work better inside a brand's organization – delivering more effective work at the speed and flexibility required to drive modern businesses forward. Using our unique methodology, and supported by bespoke technology, we design, build, and operate specialist, dedicated agencies with our clients. We're hiring a Content Creator; you will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and producing compelling visual content that resonates with target audiences and aligns with our clients' brand identities. Leveraging your expertise in social trends and best practices, this role will primarily work independently to deliver culturally relevant content that drives awareness and engagement. In this role, you will ideate, plan, and produce high-quality and culturally relevant video and photo content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and emerging platforms. You will be responsible for directing and capturing both planned and real-time content for authentic social storytelling, while developing visual strategies aligned with brand guidelines and social platform requirements. Additionally, you will stay current with social media trends, platform algorithm changes, and industry best practices to ensure content remains relevant and optimized for maximum reach and engagement.
What you will be doing:
- Be an expert on the latest social media tactics and platform features including overall best practices for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and more.
- Lead creative direction for visual content across all social platforms
- Ideate, capture and implement owned organic social media content across platforms.
- Develop and own storyboarding while working closely with the copywriter for scripting creative content
- Work with the team to build a wide range of designs for social media. Formats include motion graphics, short form video, static digital assets, animated gifs, etc.
- Translate project details and creative direction into concepts or design solutions.
- Work independently to develop graphics within technical specifications (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite, Pencil Pro etc).
- Present creative concepts, storyboards, and final designs to clients with clear rationale, defending creative decisions while remaining open to feedback and iteration
- Deliver a high standard of efficiency, consistency, accuracy, and creativity.
- Maintain an organized file structure
- Collaborate with partners, management and teams to establish processes to further improve efficiency and performance for key partners
What you need to be great in this role:
- Proficient using ‘Low-Fi’ editing tools, Canva and Capcut; Proficient in using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, and Illustrator a plus
- Platform expertise and strong understanding of audience segmentation across a variety of key social platforms
- Creative individual with a strong attention to detail
- Able to present a portfolio that demonstrates your creativity and design skills, including a strong sense of typography and layout—demonstrating talent in design, composition, and color.
- Experience with performance metric dashboarding tools
- Ability to assess metric performance data and leverage data to improve content performance
- Experience utilizing/prompting Gen AI platforms a plus
- 5+ years’ experience generating engaging social content required
