Are you ready to add value in a fast-paced commercial environment where you will be providing consumer protection and advertising compliance advice in an innovative, competitive and rapidly expanding business?
As a Co-ordinator in the Legal & Compliance team you will be responsible for the effective delivery of the Consumer Protection and Marketing Compliance programme through; reviewing and advising on marketing; policy, process and guidance writing; analysis of and reporting on key areas.
This role requires ability to work at pace and prioritise workload whilst demonstrating strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to support business initiatives whilst managing risk.
You will:
- Provide guidance on marketing compliance as part of the regular surgery sessions
- Review marketing communications for Asda and George brands
- Support our responses to Advertising Standards Authority and Primary Authority enquiries, complaints and referrals through investigation, correction and root cause analysis
- Make recommendations to our business partners regarding process improvements to support meeting legal requirements
- Support on the day-to-day admin and store queries resulting from the Challenge 25 test purchase programme
- Responsible for creating, publishing and updating policy, procedure and guidance documents across all areas of Consumer Protection and Advertising
- Create and publish communications to stores to drive awareness of consumer protection and marketing priorities
- Responsible for conducting Consumer Protection and Marketing monitoring activities, including reviews in-store and online
- Responsible for supporting on projects as and when required
- Positively identify and mitigate risk by working cross-functionally and providing timely input
- Supporting on the production and delivery of training to upskill business partners as required

Applicants must be able to demonstrate evidence of:
- Knowledge of the consumer regulatory environment and appreciation of consumer protection legislation as well as the CAP/BCAP Codes for advertising
- The ability to risk assess and think innovatively within a retail environment
- Sound judgment, values and integrity
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to support business initiatives whilst managing risk
- Effective communication and influencing skills
- High standard of accuracy and ability to see the detail as well as the bigger picture
- Ability to complex ideas into a simple form

- Excellent organisation skills with ability to prioritise workload according to business needs
