This position will be part of the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Operational Risk Management (ORM) organization that provides oversight for Consumer & Community Banking businesses and functions, the main focus will be acting as the Business Support for CCB Operational Risk and Operational Risk Support for Business Banking and Chase Auto. The ORM function supports the development and maintenance of a strong operational risk management culture by working closely with the Business, Technology, Legal, Risk, Controls, Compliance, and Audit functions to provide expertise on operational risk matters.
Job Responsibilities

  • Acting as owner for SharePoint and Teams sites for CCB Operational Risk to execute controls for this information and identify opportunities utilizing this technology
  • Acting as Business Support for CCB Operational Risk scheduling meetings for the organization, updating leadership, Business Resiliency Manager, and maintaining organizational documentation
  • Assisting in developing executive level communication including CCOR Flash escalations, Town Hall presentations, and regulatory presentations
  • Assist in the execution of a complex Operational Risk program to manage operational risk exposure in a dynamic and evolving area of the firm
  • Assist in assessing the key risk & performance indicators, and other controls to identify negative trends and potential control gaps within Consumer and Community Banking
  • Assist in establishing testing, in coordination with the Testing Center of Excellence, to provide holistic operational risk coverage and evaluate controls to identify control breaks or gaps, and escalate and raise issues as needed
  • Maintain awareness of risk and control issues within the CCB LOB whether business or second-line identified or from internal/external audit
  • Foster effective partnerships and collaborate with business and Control partners


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's or Legal degree in relevant technical or quantitative fields (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Computer Science, etc.) or comparable work experience required
  • Professional with a background in operational risk, technology risk, compliance, control, or audit
  • 3+ years banking experience and/or functional experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Control, Legal, Audit, or Technology Risk
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written and attention to detail required
  • Ability to analyze risk concentration areas, risk profiles, and leverage data from internal and external sources in order to comprehensively assess risk.
  • Ability to collaborate and establish relationships across organizations and employee levels, including senior leaders, with the confidence to formulate, advocate and lead ideas forward
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and manage multiple tasks while exceling in a dynamic, demanding environment


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Strong business analysis skills leveraging Business Analysis applications and Business Intelligence tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.) with the ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Technical qualifications a plus, including understanding of data analytics, incident management, application testing, quality control, LLM & GenAI use, and change & release management
