Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%
These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.
About This Job
The Consumer Audit Analyst is responsible for conducting audits of consumer banking operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. This role involves analyzing financial data, assessing risk management processes, and providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. You will support the Credit Department by providing analyst assistance with various external and internal audits including audit preparation, supporting business units with updates to process and procedures, and assisting in the closure of any identified issues.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of consumer banking operations, including loans, deposits, and customer service processes
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management practices
- Analyze financial data and transaction records to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential areas of concern
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations
- Lead review and updates to guidelines, process maps, and procedure documents related to audit recommendations
- Support audit remediation for Credit in conjunction with various external and internal audit entities
- Support audit liaison leader in maintaining communication channels with various Business Units in support of audits and regulatory requests
- Drive enhanced controls and identify opportunities for improvement to ensure business process accuracy
- Perform basic credit analysis – may include writing loan reviews, analyzing operating statements, recommending risk ratings
- Analyzing Commercial Lending collateral across an array of collateral types (land, multifamily, condos, office, hotels, SFR, etc.)
- Analyzes financial data to determine customers' financial status and the expected profitability of commercial loans; recommends approval or denial of loan applications
- Making process improvement and action recommendations researched and supported by data and key metrics
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry developments affecting consumer banking
- Assist in the development and maintenance of audit programs and procedures
- Participate in special projects and investigations as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in banking, internal audit, or financial services industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills
