The Opportunity
We offer an exciting opportunity to an experienced and qualified finance professional who would like to gain more insights and exposure to Roche’s Group financial consolidation and reporting.
As Consolidation and Reporting Specialist in Group Consolidation, based at Corporate Head Office in Basel, Switzerland, you will be part of an agile and highly skilled team working in an innovative, dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your main activities and responsibilities will include:

Preparing and executing tasks related to the Group monthly financial consolidation process, e.g. close preparation activities and system environment setup, controls and validations, data analysis, foreign exchange effects, intercompany transactions and relationships, preparation and processing of consolidation journals, maintenance of process automation tools

Assuming reporting event process ownership and providing support for other reporting events in Group Consolidation

Supporting Group Finance teams, Roche Service & Solutions centers and local Finance teams with process and system aspects of financial reporting to Group

Leading, participating in and/or contributing to projects and initiatives in the areas of accounting, consolidation and external reporting, such as the financial reporting processes for newly acquired companies, IFRS changes, regular business-driven reporting change cycles, compliance initiatives, etc.

Supporting the transition phase of the enterprise-wide migration to SAP S/4HANA and the implementation of a new consolidation and reporting system and related reporting and disclosure processes
Who you are

You also bring the following skills and experience:

A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in consolidation and reporting for a global corporation.

Demonstrated robust consolidation knowledge and strong practical experience with consolidation systems, ideally SAP Financial Consolidation, OneStream, or CCH Tagetik; knowledge of SAP R3 or S4 is also valued

Qualified accountant with either a degree in finance and accounting or a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)

Excellent MS Office skills, familiarity with the Google suite, and the ability to use query, analytics, and visualization tools

Strong collaboration and communication skills, with fluent spoken and written business English (German and other language skills would be an advantage). Experience working in diverse teams and independently, with a demonstrated ability to navigate and liaise effectively across networks with stakeholders at different levels in a large organization

An agile mindset, end-to-end thinking, impact-focused, proactive, entrepreneurial spirit, curious, and a continuous learner, problem-solving, and analytical skills; eager to further improve and develop existing consolidation and reporting processes

Attention to detail, ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver under time pressure
