ROLE
The Connections Planner plays a crucial role in developing and executing impactful social media campaigns. This role requires a deep understanding of the social media landscape, audience behavior, and modular content planning.
The Connections Planner will be responsible for translating overarching campaign strategies into effective, channel-specific plans, ensuring consistent messaging and optimal delivery across hundreds of touchpoints and assets. This includes audience segmentation, platform selection, content strategy, and performance analysis. The role demands a data-driven approach, a passion for social media innovation, and a collaborative spirit.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Modular Campaign Planning: Develop and execute modular campaign plans, adapting core messaging and creative assets for diverse social media platforms and audience segments. This includes meticulous asset management and version control.
- Cross-Platform Strategy: Translate overarching campaign strategies into platform-specific execution plans, considering platform best practices, audience behavior, and campaign objectives.
- Audience Segmentation & Targeting: Define target audiences for each platform and campaign, leveraging data and insights to ensure effective reach and engagement.
- Content Strategy & Calendar: Develop engaging content strategies aligned with campaign objectives, including content calendars, formats, and publishing schedules.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyze campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to optimize ongoing and future campaigns.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with creative, media, and client teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and communication.
- Social Listening & Trend Monitoring: Stay abreast of social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to inform campaign strategies and identify opportunities.
- Platform Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of social media platforms, including algorithm updates, advertising options, and content formats.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, connections or communications planning, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful social media campaigns.
- Strong understanding of modular content planning and asset management.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Serve as an internal conduit between strategic, client services, and creative departments. Facilitate seamless collaboration to ensure that messaging informs and drives creative development while aligning with campaign objectives. Expertise in social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.
- Data-driven approach to campaign planning and analysis.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for social media and a strong understanding of the evolving digital landscape.
- Experience with social listening and analytics tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media management platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
- High proficiency in English.
