We are seeking a Configuration Engineer to help design, configure, build, and deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that serve our government customers and the communities they serve. This will be a hands-on technical role that will also lead and manage a small team of no more than five developers. As a member of the engineering team, you will help maintain existing case management solution focused on the public sector communities inside the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing and configuring solutions on the .NET platform leveraging C# and SQL, as well as team lead experience.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Provide an engaging, client focused experience.
- Provide product demonstrations onsite/online to support project milestones.
- Be prepared to play multiple roles in the implementation of a project.
- Deliver high-quality software design and architecture.
- Rapidly build and deploy new product features to serve the needs of our customers.
- Work closely with the product management team to identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to fix and improve products.
- Review code commits to uphold standards of code quality and security.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing complex enterprise solutions utilizing the following technologies: .NET, C#, Azure, SQL Server, Windows, Azure DevOps.
- 2+ year of team lead/people management experience.
- Experience in all application design phases including requirements definition, decomposition, design, code review, code quality, and troubleshooting issues.
- Experience delivering software products using Agile methodologies; hands-on experience leading Agile teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiencies in C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering (or equivalent).
- Workable knowledge of SQL (MySQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)).
Additional Qualifications:
- IT or sysadmin experience.
- Front end development experience.
- Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal agencies.
- Ability to obtain clearance.
