Job Description
In this position, you will be responsible for the following:
New Data Creation
- Guide and support Product Development Teams on Contract Manufacturer activities
- Attend Team Material meetings and report on status of all BOMs, parts, and documents
- Coordinate initial release of new part/BOM/doc objects and review for completeness
- Facilitate part/BOM/doc lifecycle progression and release by using reports to show status of objects preventing promotion in Windchill
New Data Extension
- Work with Engineer to release BOMs / Parts to manufacturing for planning, prototyping, production, and sales.
- Manage data extension priorities per program build schedules
- Notify customer upon completion of data extension
- Initiate Part/BOM Extension requests through Proto. Initiate material/BOM creation within SAP by populating data on the SAP dashboard
- Initiate Part/BOM Promotion requests. Initiate material validation from prototype to production status within SAP on engineering behalf.
- Intervene with businesses to resolve data issues
Change Review, Impact Analysis, and Approvals
- Review submitted Change Notices for completeness.
- Initiate Change Notice Impact Analysis.
- Manage Change Notice approvals.
- Manage creation of new Part/BOM/Documents
Other Functions
- Provide Windchill task training and SAP reporting capabilities
- Respond to Customers concerns
- Work with Data Process Managers on continuous process improvements
Skills
The following skills will be necessary:
- Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are required
- Ability to analyze and evaluate Product Data Management business requirements of minimum complexity, requiring an understanding of the Product Data Management system
- Good understanding of configuration management principles, including data and document integrity, accessibility and audit policies
- Good understanding of “material management” principles
- Working knowledge of the Product Data Management system, with specific knowledge of life cycle management
- Working knowledge of the SAP system, with specific knowledge of material master
