Compliance & Reliability Engineer

Synthomer S.r.l. is located within the Covestro production hub in the industrial area of Filago.

The company produces NBR and SBR type synthetic latexes in aqueous emulsion, used in the production of paper, rugs, carpets, non-woven fabrics, rubber items, adhesive tapes, disposable and reusable gloves.

The Filago site is UNI ISO 9001, UNI ISO 14001, and UNI ISO 45001, and EMAS certified, as well as being WHP accredited.

Purpose of the Job

Responsible of process and system compliance according to Company requirements and standards.

Main Accountabilities

1.     Report to engineering and maintenance manager the status of changes and process compliance. Verify and assure full conformity with to SHEMS standard.

2.     Manage MoC system to keep aligned the progress of changes and lead MoC review meetings and ensure the correct application of the MoC system/procedure.

3.     Contribute to process risk assessments (PHR, Hazop, Secondary assessment) to guarantee the occupational and process safety compliance.

4.     Support SHE department and Maintenance and engineering Manager in auditing and process safety compliance (ATEX, PED, fire fighting system).

5.     Support the E&M Manager to define, manage and monitor KPIs to improve maintenance performance and plant/process reliability, contributing to improve OEE1. Analyse breakdowns and manged the machine risk analysis to reduce the unplanned downtimes and to guarantee the asset reliability.

6.     Raise the daily maintenance plan and support the daily activities in order to deliver the planned jobs as scheduled. Organise the assigned maintenance and project activities by managing internal and external resources.

7.     Contact suppliers for items quotation and contribute to define technical specifications of equipment according to engineering standard.

8.   Update technical documentation in order to keep aligned the documentation to the status of the plant.

9.   Take care to keep update P&ID following changes.

10.   Ensure accomplishment of all business activities in the area of responsibility in line with relevant SHE-regulations to achieve SHE-compliance.

11.   Define new standard e maintain update their own procedures.

12.   Mange small project (capex).

13.   Plan and organize maintenance and project activities managing internal and external resources.

14. Authorize activities with permit to work.

15. Contribute to define new engineering standard or best practice.

16. Manage small project (capex). Contact suppliers for items quotation and contribute to define technical specifications of equipment according to engineering standard and EBP.

Requirements & Knowledge and skills

Educated to a degree level in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Process Safety or related fields).

Experience in the chemical sector (especially in a Seveso context) is a plus, as well as Autocad, main safety regulations (i.e. ATEX, PED, ...) and SAP knowledge.

Solid working knowledge MS Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.

Fluent Italian at least C1 level.

Fluent English at least B2 level.
