As we continue to expand our business, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Manager to join our team. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role will report to the Director of Compliance and work closely with different stakeholders at Aristocrat, especially the operations team.

What You'll Do

  • Holding overall responsibility for ensuring compliance of your markets. Providing support and guidance to various business areas, covering the full operational compliance life cycle including (but not limited to) responsible gaming, AML, customer complaints, regulatory proceedings, and marketing content.
  • Work closely with the Director of Compliance and wider Compliance team to uphold standards and embed a culture of compliance across the business.
  • Develop and maintain the company's compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date with current regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the company's compliance program, by performing quality assurance (QA) checks thus identifying any areas of improvement and implementing appropriate changes.
  • Provide guidance and support to other departments within the company to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support in performing risk assessments and gap analyses in alignment with regulations, guidance, and pertinent legislation, while also offering solutions for risk mitigation and addressing identified gaps.
  • Assist with regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Manage regulatory reporting requirements, liaising with key stakeholders to collate and submit the required information.
  • Maintain relationships with external auditors and regulators, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all compliance-related matters.
  • Interpret new and changing legislation, regulations, and industry guidance, converting these into internal policy or process requirements and supporting with the practical implementation.
  • Stay updated on regulatory enforcement action and share key learnings with relevant stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 4 years compliance and regulatory experience within the iGaming or online gambling industry.
  • Solid knowledge of the compliance and regulatory environment, with particular focus on UK, Malta, Denmark, and Ontario gambling regulations.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach: equally comfortable managing top level activity and also getting involved operationally to make things happen.
  • Experience working on multiple projects at once, across multiple geographical locations.
  • Effective communicator, who is confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including senior business members, third parties, regulators and external auditors.
  • Able to interpret guidance notes and regulations and be able to translate into internal policy documents and process or systems requirements.
  • Enjoy and be comfortable with the accountability of working and making decisions autonomously in an environment that will always have a level of ambiguity.
  • A self-driven mentality with the confidence to drive your own agenda rather than through micro management support and direction.
  • Advanced degree or professional certification in compliance is a plus.
