Title: Compliance Manager for CSC Global Capital Markets
Location: Singapore
Working Hours: Mon to Fri - 40 hours per week
Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office
We are looking for a Compliance Manager to join our Risk & Compliance team in APAC with a focus on Capital Markets. In this role you will report to the Global Capital Markets ("GCM") Business Unit ("BU") APAC Regional Compliance Director supporting our Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand Capital Markets teams.
Some of the things you'll be doing:
As the Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • To support the provision of compliance and regulatory advice and guidance to the APAC GCM BU in line with enterprise and local policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • To work with the GCM BU to provide pro-active compliance and regulatory advice in relation to the assessment of new business and the reassessment of existing business. This includes ad hoc advice and guidance on compliance and regulatory matters.
  • To assist with the delivery on the annual Compliance Monitoring Programme across the APAC region.
  • To follow regulatory trends, keep track of changes to laws and regulations relevant to the GCM APAC Business Unit including but not limited to, AML and Sanctions laws, and help ensure these are incorporated in the respective internal policies.
  • To communicate and provide guidance to the business on changes to policies and relevant upcoming regulatory or legal changes.
  • To help oversee, manage and respond to ad hoc queries from key stakeholders, including the regulator, the Risk & Compliance leadership team and the GCM BU leads.
  • To collate and analyse management information and develop and deliver Compliance reports to relevant stakeholders including the GCM APAC leadership and Group Compliance as required from time to time.
  • To support the Regional Compliance Director, GCM to engage in wider business projects from a Compliance perspective.
  • To help manage the preparation and delivery of relevant training to staff on anti-money laundering, countering of terrorist financing and counter proliferation financing (AML/CFT/CPF), and regulatory compliance matters.
  • To ensure all allocated tasks are proactively managed to resolution.
  • To be an expert in the allocated field of responsibility, being able to provide advice and technical input as required to both client teams and operations staff.
  • To establish and maintain good relationships with all client teams offering guidance and development when required and assist in any training needs.
  • To collaborate and support the APAC GCM Compliance team's work planning, set objectives, and manage deliverables and performance.


What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
Required qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience of successfully working within a Compliance function in a Financial Services company.
  • Holding a relevant compliance certification
  • Good understanding of Capital Markets Business in APAC.
  • Proven excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent command of English and Cantonese language will be an advantage (oral and in writing)
  • Would ideally work out of Singapore.
  • Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
  • Demonstrated effective communicator.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
