Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

  • The Compliance Leader will be a key member of GE HealthCare Compliance function, having in depth understanding of key Business drivers and responsible for supporting compliance program, consistent with the rapidly evolving compliance landscape within India and South Asia. In addition to a generalist compliance professional skillset, the successful candidate should have in-depth understanding of key business drivers and how the Compliance program elements and controls integrate within the Business teams.

  • Supporting the India & South Asia Compliance Manager to deploy a “best-in-class” compliance program, promoting ethical behavior and a strong compliance culture and identifying and reducing enterprise risks.

  • Individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills, agility to navigate within the organization, and positively influence and secure stakeholder buy-in with clear and concise communication. Beyond collaboration within Legal & Compliance, Integrated Supply Chain, and Commercial functions, partnership with colleagues in Finance, Internal Audit, should also be anticipated.

  • Drive proactive compliance leadership and engagement to ensure that business colleagues are responsible for compliance with policies, processes, controls and other initiatives. Explains the information; develops skills to bring team members to a consensus on topics in the field. Conveys performance expectations and can handle sensitive issues with a focus on privacy and data protection.

  • Be an active team player, fostering open communication and collaboration to ensure effective implementation of compliance initiatives. Leverage diverse perspectives to achieve common goals. Encourage team members to share insights and collaborate on solutions to enhance the compliance program and address emerging risks.

  • This role will be expected to support multiple elements of the compliance program such as Third-Party Compliance management (including, without limitation, overseeing due diligence and ongoing monitoring and contributing to risk escalations), Compliance risk assessment for Commercial and Integrated Supply Chain.

  • The role will support the development and implementation of colleague engagements through campaigns, trainings, and communications in partnership with Subject Matter experts in the India & South Asia Zone (Zone).

  • Perform analysis using a data-driven approach to derive compliance risks, trends, and gaps to support strategic responses and improvement at the Zone level.

  • Support the awareness of GE HealthCare compliance culture, processes, and controls at Independent Third Party Sites though risk assessment.

  • Uses some judgment and has the ability to come up with different solutions outside of the set parameters to solve more complicated everyday problems. Has the ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.

Basic Qualifications

  • This role requires advanced experience in Compliance function for 6+ years. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Technical remit includes Anti-bribery and Anti-Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, Fair Competition, Public Procurement, Policies & Procedures and demonstrable skills in Compliance risk management and Compliance operations.

  • Knowledge of and ability to apply problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Strong data analytics skills: ability to locate and analyze facts to determine relevant actions.

  • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and drive independently tasks and projects to conclusion in a fast-paced environment.

  • Interpersonal skills to work and lead effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.

  • Strong business acumen, ability to detect emerging compliance and industry trends and develop appropriate responses.

  • Demonstrable verbal and written fluency in English.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication; Additional language skills will be advantageous. Experience in handling Business tools such as SFDC, Navex, SAP.

  • While the above-mentioned technical areas align to current core business needs, experience or understanding of Data privacy would also be welcome.

  • Strong perseverance to be a change agent with the business.

  • Established skills in project management, planning, marketing, and program execution.

  • Being open to change in response to new information and different or unexpected circumstances.

  • Superior inter-personal skills and independent thinking.
