Manage select portions of the compliance and operational risk management programs, within specific areas of responsibility / accountability. Areas of responsibility may include both administration of select programs, as well as assigned portions of each program based on subject matter responsibilities. Broader program elements include, but may not be limited to, Compliance Advisory and Complaint Management, Compliance Monitoring and Testing, Compliance Risk Assessment, Mergers and Acquisitions, Regulatory Change Management and Regulatory Exam Management and Facilitation. Additionally, establish cross-functional partnerships with various Business Lines to ensure strong communication and a consistent application of various program elements to effectively develop and maintains applicable oversight and testing programs, business line reporting, and issues management, based on specific areas of responsibility.

As a Compliance and Operational Risk Manager, you will:
- Provide performance standards, including oversight and direction to assigned staff, to maintain an effective and efficient department. Related activities include providing on the job training, allocating work, review of workpapers and reports, and remaining current on regulatory guidance and/or industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain processes to measure and report on the effectiveness of the compliance and operational risk programs, based on areas of assigned responsibility.
- Develop, execute and maintain a risk-based enterprise-wide oversight and monitoring program, used to measure performance against requirements for compliance with federal and state banking and related financial services laws and regulations, within areas of assigned responsibility.
- Develop and utilizes analytical, statistical and interrogation methods to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administration and review processes to include use of specialized software programs.
- Provide business line management with timely reporting and actionable recommendations for remediation of any noted deficiencies.
- Consult with management in the development of corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Track reported deficiencies and escalate any delinquencies to Management on a monthly basis.
- Make recommendations regarding staff employment and performance ratings.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Accounting, Audit, Finance, Business Administration, Risk, or Banking. Required.
Experience
- 5-7 years Accounting, Audit, Finance, Business or Law, Risk Management, Business Administration or equivalent degree or banking experience. Required
- 7-10 years Accounting, Audit, Finance, Business or Law, Risk Management, Business Administration or equivalent degree or banking experience. Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Other Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), CPA, CIA, or CFSA. Preferred
