Job Summary:
Central 1 is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of regulatory compliance, independently managing daily operations and leading impactful projects that ensure Central 1 meets and exceeds its regulatory obligations. You'll conduct critical research, analysis, and reporting while supporting key areas such as Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorist Financing, Privacy, CASL, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, and outsourcing activities. You'll take the lead on risk assessments, develop forward-thinking compliance policies, and spearhead initiatives involving training, remediation, and data analysis. As a key communication partner, you'll play a vital role in keeping teams informed and empowered to foster a proactive, risk-aware culture that enables Central 1 to thrive.
What you'll be doing:
Strategy and Planning

Research and draft compliance documents like policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.

Stay informed about regulatory requirements, industry trends, and best practices, including domestic and international regulations.

Recommend practical risk mitigation strategies that align with compliance requirements and business risk targets.

Support the Compliance Program by creating communications, awareness campaigns, and training materials to help reduce the risk of non-compliance.
Risk Management and Compliance

Conduct due diligence to detect and report suspicious activities related to money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions violations.

Advise and assist business units with regulatory risk assessments, risk controls, monitoring, and reporting.

Develop risk mitigation processes, including transaction monitoring and related reporting.

Ensure timely responses to compliance issues, providing guidance to relevant business teams to meet Central 1's quality and service goals.
What you'll have:

University degree and 1-3 years of professional work experience.

Compliance certification desirable.

Experience in a compliance role at a regulated financial institution desired.

Strong Microsoft suite skills, including Excel

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Ability to deal with ambiguity and complex concepts to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Salary range: $60,000-$74,000
The salary range represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
