About the Role

We’re seeking a Community Specialist to serve as Manifest’s strategic connection to the creator community. In this elevated role, you’ll take ownership of building, nurturing and expanding our relationships with creators, influencers and community leaders. You’ll work collaboratively across teams to develop and implement initiatives that enhance our community presence, foster loyalty and strengthen our brand within the creator economy. 


As a Community Specialist, you’ll be responsible for proactively driving Manifest’s engagement efforts, identifying opportunities to grow our network and ensuring our community's needs and voices are heard. This position is ideal for someone who deeply understands social media culture, is connected with the creator base, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and wants to make a significant impact in the fintech and creator space.

Community Building & Relationship Management

  • Establishing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with creators, influencers and industry leaders. 
  • Serving as the main point of contact between Manifest and the creator community, ensuring their feedback and needs inform business decisions. 
  • Identifying and actively engaging with emerging and established creators to grow Manifest’s network.
  • Planning, organizing and executing impactful community events (virtual and in-person) that drive engagement and awareness.

Social Media & Culture Engagement

  • Monitoring and engaging in relevant conversations on social media platforms to keep Manifest connected and relevant.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create and execute campaigns that resonate with the creator community. 
  • Staying ahead of social media trends, memes and cultural shifts to inform strategy and content development.
  • Encouraging creators to organically create content around Manifest, strengthening brand advocacy. 

Advocacy & Problem-Solving

  • Being a trusted advocate for creators by surfacing community challenges and helping craft progressive solutions. 
  • Representing the interests of the creator community in internal meetings and strategy sessions. 

Strategy & Metrics

  • Developing and executing strategies to grow Manifest’s community initiatives and enhancing engagement.
  • Tracking and analyzing community activity, partnerships and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Negotiating and managing contracts and deliverables with creators when needed.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with product, marketing and sales teams to align community efforts with business goals. 

Qualifications

  • Must-Have Skills & Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in community management, social media, influencer marketing, or a similar creator economy adjacent role. 
  • In-depth understanding of the creator economy, social media strategy and digital platforms with a portfolio of past campaigns or projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills, with the ability to build authentic relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a startup environment. 
  • Experience with social media platforms, such as TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, with an understanding of building a social channel.
  • Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach to challenges.

  • Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience working with startups, fintech, or creator-focused brands
  • Familiarity with financial challenges and opportunities for creators and small businesses.
  • Connections within the creator and influencer community.
  • Proficiency with community management tolls and analytics platforms (Discord, Slack, Sprout Social)
  • Prior agency experience is a bonus
