Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Community Marketing Manager (CMM) - Nordics, you will drive the brand presence in your markets (currently Norway and Sweden) through community marketing experiences, partnerships and ambassadorships. By activating your network (outdoor communities, creative and cultural organizations, ambassadors, businesses, nonprofit organizations, wholesale partners, agencies, etc.) you consistently leverage the Norwegian and Swedish zeitgeist to create authentic interactions with our brand. Your objective is to build a globally leading Arc’teryx local community, that will increase our notoriety as the core outdoor brand of choice, throughout the Nordics market and beyond.
You are the pinnacle Arc’teryx representative and activator for the Nordics market, consistently driving engagement with the brand, and passionate about connecting the dots between people, projects, and events, in alignment with Arc’teryx vision and values.
This role is Oslo or Stockholm region based, with your daily schedule split between working from the Arc’teryx stores and working from home. Business operation hours occur in the European Central time zone. Candidates must be eligible to work in the Nordics region (Norway, Sweden, Denmark).
Meet Your Future Team:
The Community Marketing Manager - Nordics is part the Arc’teryx EMEA Brand Marketing team, reporting directly into the Senior Manager Community Marketing EMEA. The role also collaborates closely with the EMEA Retail & Commercial team, including the Regional Manager North and the Arc’teryx Oslo and Stockholm store teams, as well as with the Global Arc’teryx Brand, Community and Retail teams, external agencies and freelancers.
If you were the Community Marketing Manager - Nordics now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Leading community marketing strategy and leadership for all brand stores in Nordics (Oslo and Stockholm)
- Collaborating with the EMEA Brand Marketing team to develop the yearly strategic direction for the Nordics community marketing program
- Conceptualizing and executing out-of-store community experiences to increase local brand awareness
- Collaborating with the store staff to conceptualize and support in-store community experiences
- Developing and leveraging local partnerships to elevate experiences and grow awareness
- Recruiting and collaborating with a team of local ambassadors and ‘friends of the brand’ to help activate the community and spread brand awareness
- Partnering with non-profit organizations that help action the environmental, diversity and inclusion efforts of the brand
- Nurturing the country level owned social media channels (@arcteryxnorge and @arcteryxsverige) through relevant and engaging community content and storytelling. Managing DM inbox and offer 24h notice replies to comments, when relevant
- Increasing the Nordics community database (e-mail subscriptions and social media followership) by executing bespoke organic and paid digital customer acquisition tactics
- Planning and executing local drive-to-store campaigns to reach endemic and adjacent audiences
- Managing the community marketing budget for the Nordics epicenters and reporting back weekly on all initiatives
- Creating and delivering in season community briefs to retail teams
- Providing support to local store teams to ensure that in-store brand marketing standards are maintained
- Supporting collaborations with local wholesale partners on community marketing activations, together with the EMEA Trade Marketing team

Are you our next Community Marketing Manager - Nordics?
- You have 5+ years’ experience in Marketing, or Retail Marketing for sports or outdoor / lifestyle apparel organizations
- You have strong knowledge of the outdoor retail landscape in the Nordics
- You are deeply connected to what is happening within the Nordics outdoor communities
- You have a deep network of local organizations, ambassadors, clubs, businesses, nonprofit organizations, wholesale partners, and service providers in the Nordics
- You are well-versed in cultural trends in the outdoor sports industry, and beyond (arts, music, fashion, etc.)
- You thrive in, and have demonstrated experience in organizing disruptive experiences for Nordics communities
- You have exceptional presentation and communication skills in English and in Swedish and/or Norwegian (spoken and written)
- You have strong project management and event planning experience
- You have a proven ability to set a clear vision, align your team around common goals and foster commitment to organizational objectives
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You seek the best (not necessarily the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
