BIS Safety Software is a fast-paced, high-growth organization providing leading software for the safety industry. We’re looking to add a dynamic Community Engagement Specialist to our team who will strongly influence the growth, engagement, and development of our community.


About the Role

In this role, you’ll take the lead in building and managing our community from the ground up, creating meaningful connections with our audience and ensuring our messaging in conversational while also resonating across multiple channels. You'll be the go-to expert on community engagement and social media strategies, crafting compelling content and fostering conversations that drive our mission forward. The majority of your time will be spent building and refining Health and Safety community relationships, while supplementing with social media engagement and communicating with our clients and community members through avenues such as: newsletters and blogs. 


This is an in-person role based at our Sherwood Park office.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Build and Maintain a Community Database: Build and manage a database of community members, capturing leads from our website and determining engagement strategies.
  • Engagement Strategies: Design and implement a long-term strategy to foster a robust, engaged community that aligns with business goals and supports brand growth.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Act as a liaison between our organization and our community, identifying opportunities for collaboration, partnerships, and mutual growth.
  • Coordinate Community Engagement: Organize initiatives such as podcasts, magazine features, webinars, and networking events for community members to engage with.
  • Manage Community Platforms: Manage and engage with the HSE community across platforms, including responding to messages, comments, and mentions on YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Ensure Brand Consistency: Maintain consistent voice, tone, and messaging across all platforms.
  • Stay Updated on Trends: Stay informed about industry and social trends, leveraging them to adapt engagement efforts and ensure the community remains vibrant and relevant.
  • Connect with Clients: Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries related to engagement opportunities.
  • Optimize Engagement Metrics: Monitor community health and engagement metrics, such as participation rates, retention metrics, and Net Promoter Scores (NPS), using insights to optimize strategies.

  • Have expertise in analyzing social media metrics to adjust strategies and drive growth.
  • Are familiar with tools for list building and email marketing.
  • Have a track record of building strong, engaged networks in previous roles.
