What's the role?
We are seeking a strategic and resourceful Communications Manager with experience in corporate and technology communications, either in-house or at a B2B-focused public relations agency.
As the Communications Manager, you will develop and execute the Asia Pacific (APAC) media relations strategy , delivering essential brand awareness and amplifying HERE's leadership in the technology, automotive and logistics sectors across APAC countries.
You will bring a proactive mindset and a collaborative approach, working closely with teams throughout the organization to develop integrated communications strategies for the APAC markets. These strategies will be maximized across media relations, social media, internal communications, marketing and other channels.
Based in Singapore, this role is within the Corporate Communications team, reporting to the Director of Global Media Advocacy at HERE.
Your main responsibilities include:

  • Targeted Media Relations: Designing and implementing media activities that boost awareness, generating inbound media inquiries, and delivering compelling thought leadership narratives to industry-specific audiences.
  • External Positioning and Thought Leadership: Positioning HERE as a technology enabler and thought leader in digital mapping, location services, and within the global automotive industry's transition to software-defined, connected, electric and automated vehicle systems.
  • Integrated Communications Strategy: Developing and executing cohesive communications strategies by working closely with colleagues in communications and marketing to align messaging, product launches, campaigns, and content across all channels and customer touchpoints, ensuring consistency and impact.
  • Trend Spotting: Staying at the forefront of media and industry trends to inform stakeholders of relevant "in the news" topics and elevating HERE's communications programs, ensuring the company remains central to industry conversations.
  • Public Relations Measurement: Leveraging tools and processes to showcase public relations successes to business stakeholders, inspiring employee pride, boosting engagement and delivering content for social media and Marketing channels.


Who are you?
You will have success in this role if you possess the following qualifications, skills, competencies and work experience:

  • A university Degree in journalism, communication, marketing or a similar field.
  • 8+ years of experience working in-house for a global business or technology company, or at a PR agency, ideally supporting B2B technology clients.
  • Strong English writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging media pitches, narratives and thought leadership pieces.
  • Ability to connect media relations with social media, marketing and other channels for cohesive, integrated storytelling.
  • Validated experience managing PR agencies and professional communications software tools for media monitoring, trend spotting and measuring results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully influence and effectively work across functions and global teams.
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset, able to work closely with marketing, sales, and other cross-functional teams to align communication strategies with broader business objectives.
  • A strong understanding of cultural nuances across APAC, with the ability to tailor communications strategies to resonate with diverse audiences in different markets.
  • A forward-thinking problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
  • Ability to work in Singapore without Visa support
