Position Summary

We are looking for an Internal Communications and Engagement Manager to join the dynamic Gaming team at Light & Wonder. The successful candidate will be energetic, creative, organized and have superior oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Under the guidance of the Chief of Staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing strategic integrated internal communications campaigns in addition to designing, implementing, and overseeing programs and initiatives that foster a positive work environment for our global Creators. This individual will also assist in creating monthly dashboards for the Gaming Leadership Team to help drive awareness and decisions on organizational development and strategic priorities across the global employee population.  

Responsibilities will include planning, coordinating and executing internal announcements, monthly updates, quarterly all hands meetings, internal Creator focused events, and global engagement programs. The internal communications and engagement manager will maintain relationships with department leaders across Light & Wonder to ensure cohesive coordination and execution of all internal communications and engagement efforts and needs, as well as appropriate distribution of content.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with the Chief of Staff, as well as members of the Gaming leadership team, to develop and execute department-wide, global internal communications strategies and programs to measurably improve team member commitment to strategic objectives and positively engage them in the mission, vision and values of Light & Wonder.

  • Research, evaluate, distill and disseminate complicated department and industry information (with accuracy) for a diverse employee audience.

  • Help define, create, and execute internal (employee) communications strategies using multi-channel methods.

  • Plan and execute all functions including creative development, copy and implementation of internal campaigns. Examples might include weekly executive reports, newsletters, company-wide special events, program communications, and internal memos.

  • Stay up-to-date on internal communications best practices and use survey results and gaming leadership feedback to fine-tune current practices and develop new ones that add value.

  • Develop fresh story ideas.

  • Maintain consistent and accurate files on all correspondence and data.

  • Support all department communications functions as needed, including copywriting, research, , proofreading and filing.

  • Create and execute comprehensive employee engagement strategies aligned with department goals, including initiatives for recognition, career development, wellness, and team building.

  • Design and manage various employee engagement programs like recognition awards, employee feedback loops, onboarding initiatives, mentorship programs, and internal communication channels.

  • Facilitate open communication between employees and management, addressing concerns and promoting a culture of transparency.

  • Lead and support organizational change efforts that impact employee engagement, providing training and communication strategies.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, with emphasis on Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field.

Required Experience: 5 years experience in public relations, internal communications or a related industry (including internships or volunteer experience).

Preferred Experience: Gaming, or corporate marketing experience preferred.
