Communication Specialist

The opportunity

Unity Japan is seeking a Communication Specialist to support foundational Communication tasks, including the management of Unity Awards. This role will also evolve to involve collaboration with our development studios, aiming to create and manage strategies that enhance Unity’s brand awareness. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to manage communications with developers, strategizing ways to enhance their visibility in a manner that benefits both the developers and the Unity. 

What you'll be doing

• Support activities related to Unity Awards and other basic communication tasks.
• Manage effective communication with developers.
• Collaborate with developers to create initiatives that elevate Unity’s brand while showcasing their innovative work.
• Understand media and industry trends to integrate Unity’s voice into relevant conversations.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver consistent messaging across all platforms.

What we're looking for

• Experience in the gaming/ tech industry or media is highly desirable.
• A strong respect for developers.
• Excellent communication skills in Japanese; with business-level proficiency in English writing and reading (mainly used internally).
• Strategic thinking and execution capabilities.
• Enthusiastic, collaborative, and driven to make a significant impact.
• Strong attention to detail and results-oriented approach.
• Business acumen with a keen intellectual curiosity.

• Experience in executing PR campaigns and media relations.
• Experience in the IT or technology industry.
• Writing skills to create compelling and effective content.
