Stok is seeking a Commissioning Engineer with a wide breadth of technical knowledge and an appetite for helping our Engineering team constantly improve. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting commissioning projects with our close-knit team of engineers. Responsibilities include completion of design reviews, facilitation of BOD/OPR integration, reviews of equipment installation (both existing and new construction), verification of system-level sequences of operation, submittal reviews, MEP coordination oversight, staff systems training management and overseeing component & system startup and functional performance testing. ROLE DESCRIPTION 

  • Support new building commissioning projects, including LEED Fundamental and Enhanced, Title 24, and Monitoring-Based Commissioning  
  • Analyze building designs for compliance with building codes and standards, including LEED and Title 24  
  • Set and manage to project budgets and schedules  
  • Establish and maintain effective client relationships  
  • Perform energy audits and create audit reports 
  • Organize and run meetings, set agendas, and issue meeting minutes  
  • Conduct site visits and meetings with large groups of various project team members and stakeholders  
  • Read and review Architectural and MEP drawings  
  • Develop commissioning schedules, plans and checklists for installation verification and functional performance testing of equipment and integrated systems  
  • Manage LEED Online coordination and documentation  
  • Provide research support on cutting edge sustainable design and construction strategies and technologies  
  • Develop and implement internal efficiency measures  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree in applicable field a plus 
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in the building engineering field  
  • CEM, CxA/CBCP, PMP or PE Licensure a plus  
  • Understanding and experience in troubleshooting Building MEP Systems  
  • Experience performing Building Commissioning  
  • Experience with Envelope Commissioning a plus 
  • Experience executing functional performance testing for large/complex systems (central air handlers, chiller/heating water plants, etc.)  
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills  
  • Experience managing energy efficiency projects a plus  
  • Knowledge of life cycle cost analysis a plus
