Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Team Leader to join our growing team in Austin, TX!
The Commercial Lines Team Leader reports to a manager or director and is primarily responsible for overseeing a specific function, department, or a small team of employees performing lower-level tasks. The individual in this role will spend the majority of their time in a management and decision-making capacity, exercising discretion and making informed decisions related to their area of responsibility.
How You Will Contribute:

Monitor the workflow of a function, creating or recommending procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Organize schedules and workflow of department/area employees to assure that objectives are met.

Perform general duties of the department and may participate in training or employee relations.

Process data and generate reports regarding results, earnings, or conditions.

Build, expand and solidify relationships with clients at all levels within the company and lead appropriate resources to address the client’s needs.

Responsible for the day-to-day account management of client accounts.

Correspond and maintain contact with brokers regarding new and renewal business.

Operate a personal computer and appropriate software packages or their equivalent.

Meet requirements for licensing as directed by the branch/agency.
Licenses and Certifications:

Must have and maintain current Property and Casualty Insurance License for required states.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

High School Diploma Required

Proficient with MS Office Suite

Exceptional telephone demeanor

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

1 – 3 years' experience in a similar position

This position requires routine travel which may require the team member to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.
