Pacific Cycle is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to become an integral part of our Madison Finance team. This role is a key member of the Commercial Finance team and will partner with our commercial business partners on forecasting a variety of items, including volume, key customers & products, department expenses, and product/channel analytics.
This role is based out of our Madison, WI corporate office and is eligible to participate in the company's Hybrid work program; working in the office 3 days and eligible to work remotely 2 days.
A few (but not all) of this position's responsibilities are listed below:
- Partners with CFO by analyzing, forecasting, and presenting key financial and operational data.
- Builds business cases that justify investments and then measure performance against targets to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborates with sales team and accounting to support monthly close and explain notable variances in the sales department expenses and volume/revenue / gross margin in the P&L.
- Provides financial support for all deal cycles, from deal initiation to final contract, including financial model (P&L, cash flow, tax, etc.), contract negotiation, and customer-facing issues.
- Analyzes industry trends, data, and strategies to address issues and exploit sales opportunities in support of markets, key accounts, and brands.
- Designs and delivers reporting and analytics that inform high-level business decisions and strategies in Sales, Marketing, and at senior leadership levels.
- Reviews monthly and financial and operational results, comparing budget and prior periods with a focus on highlighting variances and opportunities to improve performance.
- Creates and maintains reports to proactively identify pricing patterns and opportunities.

Education & Experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience, MBA preferred.
- 5-7+ years of Finance and/or Accounting experience leveraging planning financial applications to support finance processes and analyses.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, including Financial Modeling and PowerPoint required.
- Ability to work well under pressure, thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities flexibly.
- Strong team player who manages collaboratively with all stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Strong quantitative and analytic skills, including advanced modeling skills, with the ability to work with others in complex tasks and review work products. Ability to synthesize data into meaningful conclusions and recommendations.
- Experience with SAP and BW is strongly preferred.
