We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Commercial Coordinator to join our Retail team based in our Leicester Brand store. This role is uniquely placed to drive footfall and revenue-generating activations. Working alongside the store team and Commercial Lead you will be able to create, implement and track the success of marketing, events, and community building, to our store.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - what you’ll be doing day-to-day

Marketing & Promotions

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase store traffic and sales.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging promotional campaigns.
  • Utilise social media, other digital and physical platforms to promote store events using brand guidelines

Event Planning & Execution

  • Plan, organise, and execute in-store and community events to attract new customers and engage existing ones.
  • Partner with local cycling clubs, organizations, and influencers to host events and rides at the store.
  • Coordinate with vendors and sponsors to enhance event experiences.

Community Building

  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers and community members.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local cycling communities and corporate partnerships.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing Specialized at local events and activities.

Customer Engagement

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Gather and analyse customer feedback to improve store offerings and services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support.

In-Store Support

  • Supporting in-store teammates with operational tasks and responsibilities.
  • Taking the lead on all in-store events; directing teammates to best execute their tasks to ensure all events are successful.
  • Monitor and reply to online store reviews.
  • Work cross functionally with teammates in stores and those within the brand at Market, Region and Global level.

  • Increase in footfall volume, both repeat and new riders.
  • Improved Google review score.
  • Number and variety of bicycle experience-based events.
  • Number of in-store evening events.
  • Growth in social media followers and engagement.
  • Number and variety of corporate relationships commenced and developed.
  • Tracking and reporting of activations for performance review, continued implementation and evolution.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in marketing, event planning, or community engagement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for cycling and knowledge of the cycling industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in social media and digital marketing tools.
  • Track record for increasing new business.

Reporting To

  • Store Manager Leicester
  • Close working relationship with Commercial Lead

Travel

You will represent the brand with local community travel, on occasion extended travel maybe required.
