About The Position:
LINQ is seeking a Commercial Contracts Counsel to provide a broad range of legal support on all contract issues for the business with a focus on master service agreements, software/SaaS agreements, enterprise client agreements, professional services agreements, customer agreements, commercial partnership agreements (agreements with value added resellers, buying groups, etc.) and vendor agreements. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer. This role is pivotal in supporting the growing company's mission to empower central office heroes who make K12 districts and schools stronger. This candidate will be expected to provide strategic legal advice to the management team, lead in structuring and negotiating complex commercial contracts, and ensure that the legal contracting function is aligned with the company's business objectives.
Applicants must have a strong background in all aspects of commercial contracts, ideally for a high growth SaaS company and at least 5 years of contract l legal experience. The role demands a dynamic individual who can assess and prioritize risks, provide practical and business-focused legal solutions, and work effectively across departments. The ideal candidate will be excited to take on a key role in a rapidly growing organization.
What We Are Looking For:
• A Juris Doctorate from a US-accredited law school and a current and continuing good standing in at least one state
• Minimum five (5) years of professional experience, ideally with the last 3 or more spent as in-house
• Extensive experience in complex contract drafting and negotiation for master service agreements, enterprise clients, commercial partnership agreements (agreements with value added resellers, buying groups, etc.), and other vendor agreements
• Extensive experience in complex contract drafting and negotiation of various types of agreements (e.g., master service agreements, software/SaaS agreements, enterprise client agreements, professional services agreements, customer agreements, commercial partnership agreements (agreements with value added resellers, buying groups, etc.) and vendor agreements.
• Responsible for creation, maintenance, and implementation of documentation for contracts, playbooks, and guidance to the organization on requirements and overall process for escalations.
• Ability to work closely with and collaborate with members of the operations and customer experience teams to ensure that client needs are met.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the Chief Financial Officer, senior business leaders, and other professionals at all levels of an organization while utilizing excellent business and legal judgment in complex situations
• Capable of significant work volume while being responsive and managing quick turnaround times
What Will Make You Stand Out:
