Adyen’s Commercial Academy

The primary goal of the Commercial Academy is to drive commercial growth through our training programs and other initiatives, in a scalable way. We are a community driven Academy, working very closely with our commercial team to ensure relevance and top quality. We train hand-in-hand with our successful commercial teammates to allow for effective experiential learning. While we are expanding our learning offering, we’re always looking to further advance our continuous learning strategies. 

To increase our impact in the APAC region we are looking for a Commercial Academy Trainer who’s based in Singapore.

Commercial Academy Trainer

  • The core current part of the role is to run our Commercial Academy training programs in the APAC region, both in person and online.
  • Deliver our current programs - commercial skills e.g. pitching, negotiating, qualifying, a lot of practice
  • Design challenging new programs and sessions for our APAC & global commercial audiences, innovating for upcoming needs as we grow
  • Collaborate closely with the APAC commercial (leadership) team, including them in our training programs
  • The other part of your role is to lead global and regional projects to improve and innovate our commercial learning (not just in the training room) and the way we work.

Who you are

  • You have experience in a sales or account management role, because we need you to have a deep understanding of your crowd
  • You have experience in the learning and development space - and have a vision on how to get commercial people excited and help them grow with training programs
  • You love and have experience hosting trainings 
  • You have an inspiring presence
  • You’re able to ‘control the room’ without taking the whole stage for yourself  
  • You have the wit and credibility to challenge and confront commercial people to help them grow
  • You'll need strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, up to leadership level
  • You’ll need to have the maturity and confidence to assess critically and make decisions for the programs you’ll own
  • ‘Roll up your sleeves’-mentality to get things done autonomously
  • If you are able to present in Mandarin / Japanese would be a bonus as there will be situation where you have to present in those language when you travel to the individual offices. 
  • You are a great communicator with both the written and spoken word (especially towards commercial people): to the point, impactful and people-oriented
  • Since you are part of the Commercial Academy team that is largely based in the Amsterdam HQ, this role requires traveling globally for about 30% of your time
