COE Automation Systems Engineer

What will your responsibilities be?

Development of PLC, HMI/SCADA, Robot application software:
- Development and commissioning of specific software
- Coordination and supervising of the software and documentation developed by suppliers
- Preparation of relevant documentation – manuals, drawings, etc.
- Providing trainings
- Maintain automation hardware and software
- Tracking of the new technologies in the market - participation in seminars, fairs, contact with suppliers, manufacturers, reading magazines etc.
- Being up to date with the latest machines regulations, standards – safety etc.
- Development of required specifications for devices, equipment, systems etc.

Development and deployment of automated robotic stations at Adient plants:
- Defining equipment/system specifications
- Collecting requirements and preparation of SOW, specifications in cooperation with plant and AME team
- Collecting of necessary information for outsourced offers preparation
- Cooperation with related suppliers and coordination of project activities
- Commissioning at lab environment and final destination
- Executing/Supporting validation/qualification tests and system final acceptance
- Providing equipment/system cost calculations and budgeting data (SQP)
- Supporting in benchmarking robot solutions and defining standards related with robot apps.
- Developing of equipment/application check-lists and testing procedures

AGVs / AGFs / AMRs implementation and plants support:
- Supporting plants in deploying of AGV/Fs and AMRs
- Providing trainings to plant teams for AGV/Fs and AMRs
- Supporting plants in changes like adjusting routes and functions etc.
- Supporting in defining standards related with AGV/F and AMRs systems
- Benchmarking of AGV/Fs and AMRs solutions
- Development of equipment/application check-lists and testing procedures

Being contact person for plants as a SME in control systems, robot apps. and AGV/Fs and AMRs for related questions and guidelines:
- Providing competent answers/solutions and guidelines to questions/issues related to control systems, robot apps. and AGV/Fs and AMRs
- Sharing BBPs across plants
- Strengthening of plants knowledge and competences (trainings)
- Supporting other CoE/AME teams and projects
Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?
- Degree in Engineering (automation, electronics, information technology science, electrical/control e.g.) or equivalent qualification
- At least 1 year software development experience in control systems (advantage)
- Experience in automotive industry (advantage)
- PLC, HMI/SCADA software development (mandatory - Siemens S7 PLCs in Europe)
- Robots software applications development
- PC applications development (at least essential knowledge sufficient to create basic applications - option)
- Strong computer skills
- Working with documentation (CAD layouts, electrical drawings etc.)
- Lean Manufacturing (option)
- Troubleshooting
- Willing to travel
