Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage inventories of cutting tools and machining supplies. Order items as needed.

Coordinate the production machining to complete DXE work orders.

Balance work activities within equipment capacities and available manpower. Identify resource constraints.

Develop machine set-ups for products as needed to ensure efficient machining and the quality of the parts machined.

Provide training to machine operators.
-
Ensure that safety procedures are followed in all areas of the machining area.
-
Ensure that all machines are properly maintained and that the preventive maintenance procedures are followed.

Provide technical and administrative support to all DXE departments.
-
Perform analysis of DXE activities, as required.

Ensure product is of high quality to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Run production when operators are off and or at lunch.
Education and/or Experience:
High school graduate plus "G" code machine control language training or equivalent experience required. Prefer prior exposure to Surf Cam and/or Solids Works software packages. Minimum experience of 5 years machining experience in a production environment. Must have:

Hands-on operation experience with mills, lathes, drills, and vertical or horizontal machining centers.

4 or 5-axis VMC and or HMC experience.

Fanuc Pro 3 or Pro 5 controller experience.

Experience with measuring and gauging equipment.
