Vicarious Surgical is hiring a CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Waltham, MA. This Operator will join our prototype team and help run our 3 on-site milling machines.
Vicarious Surgical is a next generation robotics company developing a disruptive technology with the goal of increasing the efficiency of surgical procedure, improving patient outcomes, and reducing healthcare costs.
This position will be based in Waltham, MA and work onsite Monday - Friday during normal work hours. This role is open to candidates at all levels of experience. Everyone will be considered for a position that's commensurate with experience level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain HAAS CNC machines
- Set up CNC machines to produce parts according to drawings
- Monitor CNC machines during operation and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, FAI (in-process inspection) alongside inspection group
- Troubleshoot and resolve CNC machine problems
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Comply with all safety regulations
- Continuous improvement, and continuous learning
- Positive attitude
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience operating CNC machines
- Knowledge of CNC setups
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints(GD&T)
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects occasionally
