Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for cloud infrastructure, addressing and resolving customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and maintain cloud systems to ensure optimal performance, uptime, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with customers' development and operations teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.
  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud services and applications.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of incidents and implement proactive measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Escalate issues to cloud service providers' support teams if needed.
  • Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and implement monitoring systems and alarms.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support coverage as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Support Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud with 2+ years of hands-on experience in production workloads.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems. Experience in Debian or RHEL Linux distributions on the production environment will be preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and system administration in cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to collaborate effectively, are essential.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or CloudWatch.
  • Knowledge of database administration and optimization in cloud environments.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and culture.
