Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

What you’ll do:
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. This role is crucial for supporting our growing technology needs and enabling our mission to deliver innovative and values-aligned investment solutions. Working with us, you’ll maintain and optimize our cloud environment, focusing on Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, databases, and data warehousing.
- Manage and maintain our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure
- Ensure the health and performance of our Kubernetes clusters in GCP
- Optimize and troubleshoot our Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines
- Administer and monitor our MySQL database infrastructure in GCP
- Implement and maintain database migration processes
- Maintain and improve the performance and cost of our BigQuery data warehouse
- Implement and enforce security best practices across our cloud environment
- Collaborate with development, security, and data teams on infrastructure needs
- Create and maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management

What you’ll bring to the table:
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure, preferably on Google Cloud Platform
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in GCP (e.g., GKE)
- Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline management
- Solid experience administering MySQL databases in GCP (e.g., Cloud SQL)
- Experience with Google BigQuery, including performance and cost optimization
- Understanding of core GCP services (Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Cloud Storage)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager)
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation at Ethic is a combination of base salary, equity (stock options) in the company, and benefits.
The base salary for this role will range from $175,000-$195,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
