About the Role

As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, primarily focusing on AWS and OCI. Your role will involve developing virtual clouds, computing, and storage services to host various applications, managing secure accounts with SSO and RBAC, and evolving the platform to meet current and future business needs. The platform must remain code-drift-free, scalable, performant, robust, and secure.

You will lead the development of Cloud Infrastructure and Services, acting as the primary contact for other Technology and Engineering teams within the organization. This role requires close collaboration with business leaders to identify opportunities and risks and develop solutions that align with our business strategies.You bring extensive hands-on experience with cloud computing infrastructure and possess the ability to identify and address issues with existing setups, challenge the status quo, and introduce innovative ideas. In this role, you will shape the direction and architecture of our cloud platforms, ensuring engineers have a seamless experience with AWS and other cloud infrastructures. You excel in solving complex challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates a leadership mindset, strong operational expertise, and exceptional problem-solving skills. You should have excellent communication skills, stay current with industry trends, and be highly innovative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions for our cloud technology platform on AWS.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Security Lead to secure cloud architectures and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle.
  • Advise key business partners on AWS, OCI, and other cloud capabilities and architectures.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for AWS IAM platform services, SSO, RBAC, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
  • Manage and maintain our AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, including provisioning and automating AWS resources, and monitoring performance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the cloud architecture, including design specifications, operational procedures, and architectural diagrams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering/Infrastructure, preferably within the AWS ecosystem.
  • 3+ years of experience in planning, building, and managing AWS IAM Policies, SAML Roles, Cross-Account Roles, Service-Link Roles, and provisioning accounts based on RBAC.
  • In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS organizations and policy guardrails (SCP, AWS Config).
  • Experience with container frameworks (Docker), container orchestration tools (AWS ECS, Kubernetes), Microservices, API architecture, and management.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services and tools such as EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Security Hub, Guard Duty, Inspector, Shield, WAF, KMS, etc.
  • Experience in virtual networks and network architecture in AWS, including VPC configuration, subnets, security groups, NACLs, NAT Gateways, and routing tables.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, PowerShell, Bash, and Terraform.
  • Understanding of backup and recovery mechanisms using AWS services.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and relevant compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business analysis, system architecture, and problem-solving abilities, with a strong sense of self-motivation.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Familiarity with AI techniques and ML concepts.
  • Experience in GPU/AI platform architecture and application performance optimization.

Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, seeking to provide an open, flexible, and friendly work environment to empower employees and provide them with a platform to develop their long-term careers. The base pay range for this position is expected to be $150,000 - $195,000 annually; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the market, job-related knowledge, skills and capabilities, and experience.
