Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer (Technical and Cloud Computing Engineer Staff III/IV) with a strong background in Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft 365 suite of applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of our cloud-based applications and services, ensuring their availability, reliability, and security. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Work Model
100% onsite in either El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA.
What You'll Be Doing
- Administer and manage Microsoft Azure environments, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability of cloud services.
- Implement and manage security measures, including access controls, data protection, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand application requirements and provide technical guidance on best practices for cloud adoption and integration.
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures related to application administration and support.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure or outage.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our cloud-based applications.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Technical and Cloud Computing Engineer Staff III:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline or five plus years work experience managing IT applications and services for a large enterprise
- 2 or more years' experience with:
- Microsoft Azure or equivalent technology (Amazon Web Services etc)
- Powershell or other scripting languages
- Supporting Information Technology efforts in a Corporate environment
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft Azure or similar technology.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Technical and Cloud Computing Engineer Staff IV include:
- 4 or more years experience with:
- Microsoft Azure or equivalent technology (Amazon Web Services etc)
- Powershell or other scripting languages
- Supporting Information Technology efforts in a Corporate environment
How You Can Stand Out

- Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline
- Experience with Azure OpenAI or Chat GPT
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator or similar
We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
