Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Cloud Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in St. Louis, MO and Springfield, VA.
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for working with highly functional development team automating service deployments; optimizing system performance; integrating with enterprise authentication services; establishing/improving system monitoring; maintaining established security protocols; provide customers technical support. The Cloud Engineer will be integrated with an agile environment participating with scrums and other meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain security requirements for operation of systems
- Maintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc.)
- Produce detailed documentation
- Maintain System in AWS environment using EC2, S3, Load Balancer, RDS, and IAM
- Manage and Maintain AWS WorkSpaces
- Automate and optimize service deployments
- Delivering a full-stack web application to production; identifying and resolving operational issues in same
- Actively participating in technical requirements-gathering process (i.e. meetings with customers)
- Executing design and implementation of application features, independently / unassisted, with minimal oversight
- Writing and reading unit tests; understanding code-quality analysis concepts
- Writing and debugging JavaScript, Typescript, or closely-related language
- Developing applications backed by a relational database; understanding RDB design concepts
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
- 5+ years IT experience
- Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
- Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services
- Strong Troubleshooting skills at the Tier 1-3 level
- Angular frontend framework; UI/UX design
- Microservice-based backend architecture; integrating with COTS/FOSS software REST APIs
- CI/CD pipeline implementation, ideally with GitLab
- Strong Knowledge of Active Directory
- Windows/Linux/Ubuntu/CentOS Administration experience
- Desktop support
- Domain/System Administrator experience
- Be a team collaborator
- Have or able to receive a TS/SCI with Polygraph
Desired:
- Strong understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the AWS/CLI
- Experience working with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, or Java)
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development
- Database experience with a Postgres backend
- Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
- Familiarity with DevOps development processes and Continuous Integration tools: GitLab, GitLab Pages, and Nexus
- Knowledge of Confluence and Jira
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Agile/SAFe

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$89,500-$188,000
