Job Description

We are looking to onboard an Azure Cloud Engineer in our Infrastructure and Engineering team.
Context

• You will be part of the Infrastructure & Engineering team which manages our global Azure Cloud environment
• We adopted both a IaS and Devops way of working
• You will be in charge of architecting Azure Virtual Desktop in a international environment
• You will take part in ongoing zero trust security initiative
• Work closely with DevOps, development, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.

Qualifications

Your Main tasks are:

• Design, document and transfer knowledge on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• Work closely with the Workplace team to assure optimal performance in a secure workplace
• Collaborate with developers to ensure infrastructure is code-driven and version-controlled.
• Create and maintain infrastructure as code templates using Bicep to automate the provisioning of Azure resources. (IaC)
• Support the development and enforce security best practices for Azure resources, including identity and access management (IAM), Azure Security Center, and Azure Policy.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in the Azure environment.
• Continuously optimize Azure resources for cost-effectiveness, performance, and scalability.
• Stay current with Azure platform and propose improvements

Your profile:

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree combined with relevant experience as a Azure Engineer/Architect
• You have solid knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform
• You have expert knowledge in Azure Virtual Desktop and have experience in design and rollout of large environments
• You are familiar with Azure Devops (Boards & CI/CD Pipelines)
• You are hands-on with a ‘can do attitude’.
• You are flexible and pay attention to detail.

• You are proactive & adaptive and think in terms of solutions.

• You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch/Spanish/Portuguese is a plus
