Cloud Developmental Engineer

We are seeking a Cloud Developmental Engineer to join the team supporting the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Space Force Base in Melbourne, Florida.
NOTE: This is not a remote/telework job. This job requires the selected applicant to have an active U.S. Government-issued security clearance at time of hire and, therefore, requires U.S. citizenship.
Kegman is seeking a skilled Cloud Developmental Engineer to support our government customer on Florida’s Space Coast. As a Cloud Developmental Engineer, you will support the government customers’ mission-essential data flow to store and distribute to both internal and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Implement time-critical solutions to deliver, monitor mission data using modern software tools and applications
- Interpret software requirements, information needs, system flows, and detailed designs into cloud solutions for data usage, and work processes
- Perform technical troubleshooting in a cloud environment
- Perform analysis to determine assignable failure, recommend and implement cloud-based solutions, assist with testing in-house and third-party software
- Coordinate with customer to understand and document application requirements suitable for cloud migration efforts
- Assist with establishing priorities for overall cloud integration projects while working hardware, software and data delivery issues
- Assist customer in operationalizing software applications in a cloud environment
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant field of study
- Cloud Practitioner Certification
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to coordinate and communicate with executives, external partners, and project stakeholders
- Proficiency with cloud-native security tools (e.g., AWS CloudTrail, Azure Security Center, GCP Security Command Center) and experience with SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack).
- Expertise in securing major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages and frameworks utilized in cloud software developments
- Experience with RESTful APIs, scripting in Shell, Bash, and yaml
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification (or obtain within 180 days of hire)
- Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, container) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Helm)
- Experience w SELinux, installing software, patches, and updates on Servers
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps principles
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python and Golang coding language
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant 3+ years of experience performing tasks similar to those above
- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud equivalent fundamental certification

- U.S. citizenship required.
- Must have a fully adjudicated (not an interim) Government clearance.
- Must pass a drug test.
